Meet Our District Director
Pastor Phien began has been serving in the church for most of his life. He graduated with a Bachelor of Bible and Theology from Toccoa Falls College, a Masters of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary.
Throughout the years he's held multiple positions, which includes teaching and coaching in Evangelism Explosion Training courses in California, Canada, Germany, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Teaching classes on Church Growth and Personal Witness at the Vietnamese School of Divinity.
He has served on the Board of Directors of Vietnamese Ministry International (Văn Phẩm Nguồn Sống) for 8 years (2004-2012). and served as a member of the District Executive Board from 2004 to 2020.
He currently is the Regional Director of the Southeast Division of the Vietnamese Alliance Youth since 2004. In addition, he serves as the Senior Pastor of the Vietnamese Evangelical Church of South Florida. Together he and his wife Thanh Huong are grateful to be ministering to this city and the southeast region.

VAYSE Events:
A yearly weekend event for middle school and high school students to escape from the normal pace of life to retreat into Jesus’ presence. This weekend away is an opportunity for students to see how Jesus meets us in community with our VAYSE family. Volunteer opportunities for friends in college and career.

What started out as a needed retreat for friends after leaving high school turned into a yearly conference. Beyond this conference is a community that is supporting, building, and sharpening disciples in their college and career stage of life.

VIETNAMESE ALLIANCE YOUTH
The Vietnamese Alliance Youth (VAY) is a ministry under the Vietnamese District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA). We will be a movement of Great Commission young people who are glorifying God by building Christ’s church.
Vietnamese District in the United States, is divided into 9 regions.
MISSION
Our mission is to equip the local youth fellowships to disciple its members in achieving the Great Commandment and Great Commission lifestyle.

VAY Events:
VAY English Ministry Conference (EMC)
is the English track running in parallel with the annual Vietnamese District Conference (Hội Đồng Giáo Hạt). Organized by the Vietnamese Alliance Youth (VAY). EMC targets all English-speaking participants, including middle school students, high school students, college students, post-college, young families, and Vietnamese-speaking young adults. The goal of the conference is to help build the personal discipleship life of VAY members and equip people to serve at their local churches.
Thank you for joining us for EMC 2023, the 16th year of EMC to hear from God and worship with His people. Together, we want to be a movement of Great Commission young people who are glorifying God by building Christ’s church.
VAY Fall 2022
This upcoming event is open to leaders and emerging leaders across our regions for the equipping of the next generation. We will be offering in the morning workshops hosted on Zoom. There will be workshops for high school, college & career, and young families. Afterward in the evening, there will be a time of in-person fellowship, worship, and a message.
